Belonging
“We belong to the Lord”
Romans 14:8
Belonging to this world is temporary. Belonging to the Lord is eternal.
My Father watches over me.
He knows every move and choice I make.
He guides me and chastises me and changes me.
I belong to Him.
He is my place of safety.
He is my refuge.
I am in His hand.

So cool how sometimes the smallsest phrase from the Scriptures can unpack so much meaning encouragement and hope!
Sherene,
This resounds so strongly with me because lately the theme of our citizenship as Christians has been a major focus daily for me! The message I heard last week discussed the sense of foreigness as Christians because we belong to the Lord and not the world, and then lots of passages I read this week reinforced the same thing. Anyway, your blog really rang a bell with me, and I loved you poem. Rock on, Sherene!!
