Don't be deceived

Sometimes I wonder at how much perseverance I need and how much patience I need to hold on when life turns difficult. I'm holding onto the promise that there is more than what this life has for me. I have to believe there is more. God doesn't lie and he keeps His promises.

"Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love Him." James 1:12

"...humbly accept the word planted in you which can save you. Do not merely listen to the word and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says." James 1: 21 and 22

Believe what God says--what His word says. It's the anchor in the wind that will hold us firmly to the Rock. It's the hope we need when it seems hopeless. Don't be deceived by the liar, Satan, who tries to get us to doubt. Keep the word of God anchored and planted inside, so then there is no doubt, only truth to draw on. That's my anchor. That's the seed that's inside me.
